"Sinwar Lives," "Death to Israel": Additional Stickers Encouraging Violence Found at UW-Madison
The stickers appear to be in the same style anti-ICE stickers posted around campus late last week
On Wednesday afternoon, stickers depicting acts of political violence were again spotted on the UW-Madison campus. They were seen near the Lutheran Campus Ministry, Sterling Hall, and along University Avenue. The stickers are in a similar style to three stickers that encouraged violence against federal immigration authorities photographed late last week.
Additional stickers spotted after this article was first published were seen along North Charter Street. They included graphic antisemitic imagery. One read “Death to Israel,” while another included a drawing of a paraglider, referencing the Nova Music Festival Massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7th, 2023.
Another said “Sinwar Lives,” a reference to former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. After that sticker was placed, it appears to have been written over with “Am Yisrael Chai,” which means, “the people of Israel live.” Sinwar is dead, having been killed by the Israel Defense Forces.
Two stickers depicted pigs being punched in the face, likely a reference to law enforcement. Many of the stickers have been up for a few days. This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
