What is The Madison Federalist?
The Madison Federalist is an independent student publication dedicated to liberty and tradition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We were founded in 2024 to increase the range of viewpoints heard on campus. Staff members have worked for organizations including The Washington Post, National Review, The American Conservative, The MacIver Institute, The Washington Examiner, and The Daily Wire.
We publish quarterly magazines and post articles online during the academic year. Our original reporting has been featured in outlets such as Fox News, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, New York Post, and City Journal. The Madison Federalist is a nonprofit organization run by its student staff members.
